
The 5th Women’s Innovative Entrepreneurship Idea/Project Competition – 2023, launched by the Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Union, aims to identify potential projects for investment connection, product promotion, brand development, and to foster the entrepreneurial spirit among female members.
The ideas/projects participating in the competition are innovative startup initiatives across various fields, with priority given to those applying science and technology, promoting sustainable development, creating employment opportunities for women, or developing products eligible for participation in the Province’s One Commune One Product (OCOP) Programme.
The Final Round of the competition will take place on 28 July 2023. In particular, Lac Hong University is honored to have PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Head of The Faculty of Administration International Economics – Head of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Division of Lac Hong University – Member of the Executive Committee of the Southern Region Startup Advisory and Support Council – serving as a Jury Member of the competition.
Looking back at Lac Hong University’s achievements at the “Dong Nai Women’s Entrepreneurship Competition,” LHU is proud of two projects by two LHU alumni: Van Huong Herbal Clean Incense by Ms. Le Thi Cam Van – alumna of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting – which won First Prize at the 2021 Women’s Entrepreneurship Idea/Project Competition; and the An Hoa An Xoa Herbal Extract project by Ms. Hoang Thi Kim Anh – alumna of the Faculty of Food Science and Technology – which won First Prize at the 2020 Women’s Entrepreneurship Idea/Project Competition. Most recently, LHU also achieved 01 Third Prize and 01 Consolation Prize at SV.Startup 2023.
To achieve these accomplishments, the role of Lac Hong University has been significant, as the projects were guided by the University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Division and Entrepreneurship Club, specifically PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Member of the Vietnam Startup Advisory Council – Executive Committee Member of the Southern Region Startup Advisory and Support Council – who served as advisor to the projects from the initial idea formation stage through business planning and profit generation, contributing to the national and provincial economy.
