    Projects/ideas displayed at the competition

On 31 August 2022, at the Golden Palace Convention and Wedding Center (Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai), the final round of the “4th Dong Nai Provincial Innovative Women’s Entrepreneurship Idea/Project Competition 2022” was held.

The competition attracted many students from Lac Hong University to visit, learn about, and listen to the project presentations.

The Innovative Women’s Entrepreneurship Idea/Project Competition is one of the key activities of the Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Union in implementing the Project “Supporting Women’s Entrepreneurship for the Period 2017–2025.” The activity aims to identify and support the realization of startup projects/ideas by women in the province.

This year, the Organizing Committee received 181 ideas and projects across various fields and target groups. After the preliminary rounds, the Jury selected 59 ideas/projects to participate in the final round, including 11 business entities, 4 cooperatives/cooperative groups, and 44 household businesses. Notably, this year there were 3 projects with products meeting the 3–4 star OCOP standards. The competition gathered many practical and promising projects. The Top 15 finalists successively presented their projects/ideas.

After three successful seasons, always accompanying the Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Union and participating as members of the Jury Board, in 2022 Lac Hong University was once again honored to be named. The Jury Board took a commemorative photo with Ms. Le Thi Thai – Member of the Executive Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union – Provincial Party Committee Member – President of the Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Union.

The competition mobilized and created favorable conditions for women to start businesses and participate in economic development. Women’s Union units at all levels, from provincial to grassroots, regularly stayed close to localities, grasping the aspirations of women members, especially those in particularly difficult circumstances who have startup ideas. At the same time, communication efforts were strengthened to provide women members with basic knowledge of collective economics; principles and conditions for joining cooperatives; procedures for establishment; and rights and responsibilities when participating in cooperatives.

Women shared experiences and introduced their products.

The Women’s Union organized experience-sharing activities; identified and introduced women with startup projects and startup enterprises with high growth potential based on intellectual property exploitation, technology, and new business models to receive support under the Project. In addition, the Women’s Union directed its affiliated units to survey and assess the current situation of women’s entrepreneurship and startup ideas in localities; select appropriate activity contents; and develop pilot models suited to the conditions and characteristics of each unit.
