With the objective of motivating and spreading the entrepreneurial and business spirit among all segments of the population in the province in innovation startup activities, and fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the province, the program also aims to promote connection and investment facilitation for highly feasible startup ideas and projects. At the same time, it seeks to strengthen linkages within the innovation startup ecosystem, connect ecosystem stakeholders, introduce, promote, and showcase startup projects/ideas, technologies and equipment, science and technology products/services, as well as typical and distinctive local products. The event also honors organizations and individuals with innovative ideas and new business solutions aligned with practical needs, and recognizes the positive contributions of organizations and individuals who have supported and accompanied the development of the Dong Nai provincial innovation startup ecosystem.

On the morning of 27 August 2024, at the Provincial Square Hall of Dong Nai Province, the Opening Ceremony of Techfest Dong Nai 2024 was held under the theme “Creative Runway – Golden Deer Taking Off,” as part of Dong Nai Innovation Startup Day.

The event attracted significant attention from students and lecturers of universities and colleges across the province. Through the activities at the event, LHU students had the opportunity to listen to and learn from the entrepreneurial spirit of successful startup entrepreneurs. In addition, LHU startup projects were highly evaluated by the judging panel at the recent innovation startup competition organized by the Department of Science and Technology.

Techfest attracted more than 100 booths showcasing and introducing nearly 1,000 technologies, equipment, products, and science and technology solutions from organizations and enterprises from Dong Nai Province and 10 other provinces and cities nationwide. The products and technologies displayed at Techfest included utility application services, logistics services, process automation, pharmaceutical industry, biological products, clean energy industry, renewable energy, smart energy, processing and manufacturing industries serving agriculture, post-harvest preservation technologies and equipment, smart agricultural production technologies adaptable to climate change; as well as typical and distinctive local products, and self-researched products, models, and innovative practices of farmers.
