    [ Marketing] Marketing Students Visit the Ajinomoto Bien Hoa Factory

     

    On 21 August 2024, Marketing students had the opportunity to participate in a field visit to the Ajinomoto Bien Hoa Factory. This was one of the key practical activities, enabling students to directly access the production process and marketing strategies of one of the leading corporations in the food industry.

    The Ajinomoto Bien Hoa Factory is one of Ajinomoto Group’s largest production facilities in Vietnam, specializing in the manufacturing of products such as monosodium glutamate, seasonings, and other food products. With advanced technology and modern production processes, the factory not only meets domestic demand but also exports to many countries around the world.

    The purpose of the visit was to help Marketing students gain a clearer understanding of the production process, marketing strategies, as well as the challenges faced by a large enterprise like Ajinomoto. Through this experience, students were able to apply theoretical knowledge to practice and gain insights into how an enterprise operates, from production to bringing products to market.

    The visit began with an overview of Ajinomoto Group and the history of formation and development of the Bien Hoa Factory. Students were then guided through various production areas, from raw material input stages to the completion of finished products. In particular, students had the opportunity to directly observe the production process of monosodium glutamate—one of the factory’s key products.

    Next, students participated in a discussion session with Ajinomoto’s marketing experts. During the session, detailed information was shared regarding marketing strategies, brand positioning, and how the factory addresses challenges in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. Students were also encouraged to ask questions and engage directly with the experts to better understand how Ajinomoto builds and maintains its brand.

    The visit provided valuable practical lessons for the students. They not only learned about the production process and marketing strategies but also witnessed Ajinomoto’s professionalism and commitment to delivering quality products to consumers. Through the visit, students realized that to succeed in the Marketing field, in addition to professional knowledge, creativity, perseverance, and the ability to adapt to a changing market are also essential.

    The visit to the Ajinomoto Bien Hoa Factory on 21 August 2024 left a deep impression on the Marketing students. It was a meaningful practical experience that broadened their perspectives and provided additional motivation in their academic journey and future career development. It is hoped that the knowledge and experience gained from this visit will help them feel more confident in pursuing the challenging path of the Marketing field ahead.
