The field visit was conducted with the objective of providing students of the Economic Law major with valuable practical experience when attending a court session. The aim was to enable students to combine theoretical knowledge from textbooks with practical exposure to support their academic studies as well as their future careers. During the visit, students observed a specific criminal case, thereby gaining an objective perspective on the matter and a clear understanding of trial procedures at the Court. This offered an effective applied learning experience instead of solely studying legal theory.

In addition, during the visit, students had the opportunity to meet judges, People’s Jurors, representatives of the People’s Procuracy, and other legal practitioners to learn from their experience and professional demeanor in court proceedings. Judge Do Thi Hue – Deputy Chief of Office of the People’s Court of Bien Hoa City – also provided an overview of important notes when attending a court session, key knowledge related to criminal procedure, and the composition of trial participants. Most importantly, by attending the trial session, students were able to acquire knowledge quickly and effectively.

Student Ly Thi Thuy Duy – Class 22LU111 shared: “What impressed me most throughout the visit was the dedicated guidance and support from the representatives of the Court, which provided students with an extremely meaningful field experience. We gained solid practical knowledge about the trial of a criminal case, fulfilled our wish to attend a real court session, and achieved the objectives set before participating in this visit.”

The Faculty of Administration International Economics believes that through this experience, students can better grasp knowledge related to criminal procedure within the Vietnamese legal system in general and within the Economic Law major at the University in particular. More importantly, the visit helped students develop skills in observing and analyzing legal issues when following court proceedings.

The Faculty of Administration International Economics would also like to express its sincere gratitude to the People’s Court of Bien Hoa City for facilitating students’ visit and direct learning experience at the Court. This has been a truly valuable experience for students of the Economic Law major.
