Numerous solutions of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics won high awards in the Awards and Competitions of Dong Nai Province

In order to create a dynamic learning environment, and maximize the creativity of each student and lecturer, in late December 2022, the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics (FOME) carried out and participated in a series of scientific and technical activities. Particularly, in joining the Competitions and Contests organized by Dong Nai Province, the FOME has achieved many encouraging results.

The competition "Application of renewable energy and solutions for using energy efficiently and economically in production and life" in Dong Nai Province.

The competition "Application of renewable energy and solutions for using energy efficiently and economically in production and life" in Dong Nai Province aims to promote the spirit of scientific research, and innovative application and create a playground for organizations and individuals to develop their innovative ideas and concepts through products, application models and solutions, models of efficient and economical energy use. From that, effective initiatives, ideas, and solutions can be selected and applied to serve the community. This is the first time that the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province has organized the competition, which is divided into two groups:

1.Innovative ideas or technical improvements on the application of renewable energy for production, life, and socio-economic development of Dong Nai province.

2.Ideas and solutions for using energy efficiently and economically in all fields such as industry, agriculture, transportation, households, offices, buildings, etc., to serve the production, life, and socio-economic development of Dong Nai province.

In the 11 projects that won provincial awards, the FOME won two prizes, including the second prize for the solution "Designing and manufacturing a dual energy system (wind energy combined with solar energy) to serve the electricity demand of households" and the encouragement prize for the solution "Research and design of solar-powered electric vehicle charging station at Mega supermarket".

The award-winning solutions are a premise and experience for students and lecturers in the FOME to learn from and apply in the upcoming years.

The Creative Science and Technology Contest of Dong Nai province

The Creative Science Contest of the FOME also took place in the same period. With the desire to encourage and promote the creativity of students, as well as to create a dynamic and vibrant learning environment, the Contest attracted many teams of students with a variety of topics, ranging from electrical and electronic engineering to information technology. This year's contest focused on the theme "Digital Transformation for Sustainable Development", aiming to encourage students to think, research, and apply digital transformation in practice, contributing to the sustainable development of the country.

Through the above activities, the FOME expects to create a dynamic and innovative learning environment, help students develop their skills, and contribute to the development of the country.

The program to promote innovation and creativity in labor and learning in Dong Nai province - Program 6.

In 2022, the Department of Science and Technology - the standing agency of Program 6's Steering Committee, in coordination with related departments and committees, implemented the program throughout the province. As a result, 566 solutions were received for participation in the competition, divided into two corresponding categories: Education and Training and Science and Technology in 11 fields, including Electronics, Automation, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, Food Technology, Healthcare, Agriculture, Chemical Technology, Social and Economic Science Education, Environment and other fields.

The program resulted in the selection of 67 innovative and creative solutions with wide applicability and high effectiveness for awarding and honoring inventors. On this occasion, Lac Hong University won 13 awards, including 6 awards from the FOME: 1 first prize for the "Research and manufacture of a semi-automatic aluminum punching machine," 1-second prize for the "Design and manufacture of a fuel-saving hybrid motorcycle," 2 third prizes for "Research, design, and manufacture of a transport mechanism for aluminum bars" and "Research and manufacture of an automatic barcode labeling machine," and 2 consolation prizes for the "Design and manufacture of a management device for preschool and elementary school students" and "Application of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technology in the field of education and training."

The above results are the research process of the FOME's teachers and students in their learning and practical application activities. In particular, some solutions have been transferred to businesses such as "Research and manufacture of a semi-automatic aluminum punching machine," "Research, design, and manufacture of a transport mechanism for aluminum bars," and "Research and manufacture of an automatic barcode labeling machine." Currently, these machines are operating very well and helping to save a considerable amount of costs for businesses.

In 2023, the FOME will continue to promote its current strengths, participate in more contests, and aim to lead technical activities in the future.
