LHU received donated devices for online learning

LHU on October 15 received 24 computers and 9 laptops donated from Dong Nai Provincial Department of Construction, Dong Nai Provincial Development and Investment Fund, Dong Nai Provincial People's Procuracy, Dong Nai Provincial Tax Department's Labor Union, and Dong Nai High School for the Sports Gifted.   

This is first reception phase of the movement "Donating learning equipment for disadvantaged students" launched by the Standing Committee of Dong Nai provincial Union of Public Employees in cooperation with LHU. To promote the movement, the Standing Committee called on officials, union members, civil servants, public employees, employees, agencies, units and businesses to support used computers, laptops, tablets,... to give students with difficult circumstances in the province. After receiving donated devices, the Faculty of Information Engineering Technology of LHU joined hands with related units to repair and perfect them before awarding to students in the province.

The movement aims to foster disadvantaged students’ online learning due to the complex and prolonged situation of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, many difficult students do not have learning equipment. Therefore, they really need devices for online learning from sponsors and benefactors.

The organizers will continue to receive donated computers on October 30 at campus 1 of LHU.
