The Chinese Language De. collab with the IRO of LHU received a delegation from the CG of the People's Republic of China in HCMC

On the morning of September 12th, 2023, at the A301 Assembly Hall, Campus 1 of Lac Hong University, there was a reception and working session between the delegation from the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City and Lac Hong University.

Heading the working delegation from the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City was Mr. Xu Zhou - Deputy Consul General; Mr. Lu Bin - Consul and the delegation.

Representing Dong Nai province, there was Mr. Tran Quoc Toan - Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Dong Nai province.

Welcoming the delegation on behalf of Lac Hong University’s leaders, there were Dr. Do Thi Lan Dai - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors; Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh - Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Lam - Vice President. From the International Relations Office, there were MA. Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh, Head of International Relations Office - Deputy Dean of Oriental Studies Faculty; MA. Hoang Tien Dung - Deputy Head of International Relations Office.

From the Oriental Studies Faculty, there were Dr. Nguyen Huu Nghia - Dean; MA. Phan The Anh - Head of Chinese Language Department, along with lecturers and over 200 students of Chinese Language Department.

Over the years, Lac Hong University and the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City have always worked together hand in hand in diplomatic friendship activities. The development of Lac Hong University bears the hallmark of the friendship between the two sides.

On this visit and working session, the representative of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City donated 100,000,000 VND (one hundred million VND) to the "Scholarship Fund for Disadvantaged Students of Chinese Language Department, LHU".

Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh - Head of International Relations Office and Deputy Dean of Oriental Studies Faculty (LHU) said: "This is the 4th year that the Chinese Consulate General has helped disadvantaged students of the Chinese Language Department (LHU) to give them the opportunity to continue going to school and completing their undergraduate program.”

Also on this visit and working session, Mr. Deputy Consul General will help connect Lac Hong University with many more universities in China, and connect Lac Hong University in general and the Chinese Language Department in particular to Chinese Business Associations in Vietnam. Through this visit and working session, the friendly cooperative relationship between Lac Hong University and the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City has been further strengthened.
