2026

- October 10, Tran Thi Phuong Anh, majoring in Korean Studies, class 23DH112, at LHU, won Second Prize at the King Sejong Storytelling Competition - Hangeul Day 2026, held on October 8, 2026. The competition was organized by the King Sejong Institute Ho Chi Minh City 2 in collaboration with the Faculty of Korean Language at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.

- September 24, Nguyen Thi Trang, majoring in Chinese Language, received the Promising Award in the final round of the 2026 Video Creation Contest, themed “Vietnam - China: Connecting and Friendship.” The contest was organized by Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in collaboration with the Consulate General of China.

- September 14, Nguyen Thuy Truc Linh, majoring in Japanese Studies, class 25DN111, won a Consolation Prize at the 9th Southern Universities Japanese Speech Contest 2026, held at Binh Duong University.

- From September 6 to 8, at the Athletics Competition of the 1st Dong Nai City Sports Festival 2026, Truong Quyen Linh, a student in the Japanese Studies program, class 25DN111, won a Gold Medal in the long jump. This achievement is a source of pride for LHU and reflects the University’s students’ energy, determination, and commitment to physical fitness.

-  August 28-29, 2026, two students majoring in Korean Studies, Tran Thi Phuong Anh and Doan Phung Tien, won Third Prize and the Promising Award, respectively, at the final round of the Incheon Education Playground 2026 Video Creation Contest, held at the University of Economics and Finance Ho Chi Minh City.

- August 23, 2026, the LH-FOF team from LHU, representing Vietnam, won Third Prize and the Best Design Award at ABU Robocon 2026, held at Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Hong Kong with the participation of 16 teams from 15 countries and territories. This achievement further demonstrates the capabilities and determination of LHU students on the international stage.

- June 6, students majoring in Korean Studies at LHU achieved outstanding success by winning the First prize in the team category at the 14th K-SPEECH Vietnam Contest - the qualifying round for the 30th World Korean Speech Contest, held at Ho Chi Minh City Open University. In addition, student Vu Ngoc Khanh earned the Second prize in the individual category for the university division.

- May 31, LHU’s LH-FOF robot team secured the championship title at the Vietnam Robot Innovation Contest 2026, bringing home the University’s 11th Vietnam Robocon championship title.

- May 17, the project “DotRead E-Braille” (an e-book device for the visually impaired) developed by the LHU Adley team won First prize in the Education category at the 2nd APEC Innovation Student Startup Idea Competition (2025-2026) held in Hanoi.

- May 15–16, student Le Thi Hong Anh, a fifth-year Pharmacy student at LHU, earned Third prize at the Student Pharmacy Scientific Conference - SCPharmRes 2026, held at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine.

- May 15, 2026, two students, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ha and Hoang Thi Linh (class of 2023, Chinese Language major) from LHU, won Consolation prizes at the 25th “Chinese Bridge” World University Students Competition 2026 (the 8th China Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam Cup - Ho Chi Minh City Branch).

- May 6 to 8, the World Universities with Real Impact (WURI) 2026 rankings were announced during the HLU Annual Conference 2026 at National Chi Nan University. According to the results, LHU ranked 91st globally in the Global Top 500 Innovative Universities, moving up nine places compared to 2025. Notably, the university ranked 2nd worldwide in Indicator A4 - Entrepreneurial Culture & Ecosystem, and 74th worldwide in Indicator B2 - Empowerment-Based Management, recognizing its efforts in fostering an innovative environment and advancing modern university governance.

- April 19, 2026, the project CASHEW ESSENCE - Vegetarian Food from Cashew Nuts by LHU students won Second prize nationwide at SV.STARTUP 2026 - the 8th National Startup Day for Students. This achievement was made possible by an interdisciplinary team from the faculties of Pharmacy, Information Technology, English Language, and Finance and Accounting.

- April 18, students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at LHU made a strong impression at the MiTek Structathon 2026, organized by MiTek Vietnam, by winning multiple awards. Among them, Dang Duc Quyen (class 25XD111) secured Third prize, while Ho Xuan Hinh (class 23XD111) and Vu Xuan Loc (Class 25XD111) received Consolation prizes, further affirming the students’ professional competence and creativity in the field of civil engineering.

- March 11, three student teams from the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics, LHU won three out of six awards at the 2026 Automation Machine Design Competition, including LH-LTA (Third prize), and LH-TKAT and LH-AUTX (Consolation prizes).

- February 4, within the framework of the World Government Summit (WGS) held in Dubai, the project “Your Voice” by lecturer Bui Xuan Canh and two students, Hoang Gia Huy (Software Engineering) and Vi Hoai Thuong (E-commerce) from the Faculty of Information Technology, LHU, impressively surpassed more than 5,000 projects from 126 countries and territories to win the Silver Award at the Global Best M-Gov Awards 2026 - a prestigious international award in the field of digital government technology and innovation. “Your Voice” is an AI-powered application that converts sign language into speech and text.

- January 15, according to the Vietnam University Rankings (VNUR) 2026, LHU successfully entered the top 100 of VNUR - 2026. The University also made a remarkable milestone by rising 72 positions compared to 2025 to reach 52nd place nationwide.

- December 26, LHU took lead in the Program "Promoting Initiatives and Innovations in Working and Learning in Dong Nai 2023" with 11 winning solutions including 1 First, 2 Second, 2 Third and 6 Consolation prizes.

- December 21, LHU honorably won the title "Outstanding university in building startup ecosystem" at the National Startup Project Development Program 2023 taking place in Hanoi. In addition, the project "Multi-application fuel cells" picked up the Consolation prize.

- December 16, student Cao Ngoc Manh from the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics won the Excellence prize in the Hardware category of the Technical Knowledge Competition to participate in the Program "Vietnamese Engineers - Japanese Engineering” organized by Esuhai Technology Co., Ltd in cooperation with Toa Musendenki Co.,Ltd.

- December 14, at the"VietFuture 2023 – Future Innovation Awards" held in Hue City, the group of students including Bui Huu Thong; Bui Van Anh Hao; Pham Tran Phuc Trung; Ngo Nghia Hong Phuc won the First prize with the topic “Design and create fuel cells for electric vehicles” instructed by DSc. Le Phuong Long. In addition, Student Dang Van Huy took Third place with the topic "ITFSD Ecosystem" instructed by lecturers of the Faculty of Information Technology.

- December 11, the project "Multi-application fuel cells" by an author group from LHU was listed in the top 10 National Startup Project Development Program 2023. 

- December 7, the author group: Nguyen Minh Son, Phan Thi Huong, Nguyen Thi Hoang Thanh, Ha Gia Vi, Lam Thanh Quoc Hao, Le Quoc Cuong, Nguyen Tuan Kiet, Hoang Minh Canh and Nguyen Duy Do (Faculty of IT) excellently won the Third prize at the "Smart Agriculture Model for Climate Change Adaptation" Contest 2023 organized by the Dong Nai Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

- December 2, the team LH-Green Energy (including Bui Huu Thong; Bui Van Anh Hao; Pham Tran Phuc Trung; and Ngo Nghia Hong Phuc) from the Faculty of Information Technology excellently won the Third prize at Ba Ria-Vung Tau’s Fisheries Industry Innovation Startup Contest 2023 with the project "IT application in fisheries”.

- November 26, the author group including Bui Thi Yen Linh, Pham Nhat Tan, Nguyen Thi Thanh (Faculty of Pharmacy) won the Consolation prize at the 25th Euréka Scientific Research Student Awards 2023 with the topic “Isolation of some chemical constituents, research on stomach ulcer prevention effects of Ham lien, preparation of suspension gel containing Ham Lien (Marsdenia tenacissima) and Uat Kim (Curcuma longa L.) extracts".

- November 23, LHU won 2 First, 1 Second, 1 Third and 3 Consolation prizes at the Dong Nai Province Technical Innovation Contest 2023. It was honorably named among the four collectives awarded for outstanding achievements in organizing and implementing the contest. In addition, 7 individuals of LHU received Creative Labor Certificates awarded by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

- November 9, on the occasion of the 2023 - 2024 academic year opening ceremony, LHU honorably received a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training for its positive contributions in implementing the Project "Supporting students to start a business until 2025".

- October 21, at the "Hangeul Festival 2023" hosted by Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, students of the Department of Korean Studies, LHU excellently won Second prize at “Hangeul Festival 2023 Talent Contest" and Third prize at "Booth decoration about Korean language and culture" category. 

- October 15, at the closing ceremony of Dong Nai Province Digital Transformation Week 2023, the Faculty of Information Technology, LHU was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee for its contributions in organizing the Digital Transformation Week. In addition, two student teams from the Faculty of IT won First prize at Dong Nai Solution 2023 Competition with "Food connection apps" project and Consolation prize with "ITFSD Ecosystem" project.

- September 9, at the Design Thinking - Open Innovation 2023 Competition, the project “ITFSD Ecosystem” carried out by the StarDev team won the Second prize in the Student category and "Designing and building fuel cells used for electric vehicles" project by the EVT-2023 team won the Consolation prize in the Startup Business category.

- September 6, with the project "Development of an anti-cancer treatment for liver cancer from Willughbeia cochinchinensis, a medicinal plant native to Vietnam", MPharm. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung - lecturer, Department of Analytical Chemistry and Drug Quality Control, Faculty of Pharmacy, LHU was named among 8 Seed Grant Award winners to receive the prize worth 12.500 USD in the framework of STIC project (Science, Technology, and Innovation Cooperation Program).

- May 28, LH - J4F team won Second prize at Vietnam Robocon 2023.

- March 31, LHU was honored to receive the First Class emulation flag and a certificate of merit from the People's Committee of Dong Nai province at the ceremony to review the patriotic emulation movements in 2022, sign the 2023 emulation agreement and praise advanced examples in 2023. In addition, MSc. Nguyen Minh Son - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology honorably received the title of advanced examples of Dong Nai province 2023.

- March 26, the project "Seafarer positioning system to support sea rescue" carried out by the FSOS team won the Third prize in the Agriculture, forestry and fishery category and "Multi-application fuel cell system development" project by the FCT20 team won the Consolation prize at the 5th national startup festival for students 2023 (SV Startup 2023) held in Thua Thien Hue province.

- March 20, the LH-CDC team surpassed other competitors to enter the TOP 24 to compete at the finals of the Bosch Future Mobility Challenge (BFMC) which will be held in May 2023 in Romania. The LH-CDC team of LHU is one of the three teams to represent Vietnam to enter the finals of the BFMC 2023.

2022 

- December 21, LHU won 11 prizes at the Dong Nai Technical Innovation Contest 2022, including 01 First, 04 Second, 03 Third and 03 Consolation prizes. In addition, it won 01 First, 01 Second, 04 Third and 07 Consolation prizes in the Program to promote initiative and creativity in work and study in Dong Nai 2022.

- December 16, the team FSOS from the Faculty of Information Technology excellently won the Third prize at Ba Ria-Vung Tau’s Fisheries Industry Innovation Startup Contest 2022 with the project "Seafarer positioning system to support sea rescue".

- November 27, with the topic "Research on analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects and preparation of tablets from Vernonia amygdalina Del.", the group of students Pham Huynh Thanh Bao, Pham Thi Ngoc Anh and Hoang Thuy Hien (Faculty of Pharmacy) excellently won the Second Prize at the Euréka Scientific Research Student Awards 2022.

- November 24, at the 25th anniversary of establishment, the Ministry of Education and Training awarded the Certificates of Merit to LHU and 19 individuals with outstanding achievements in the Movement "Creativity and Innovation in Management, Teaching and Learning", academic year 2021-2022. The People's Committee of Dong Nai province also awarded Certificates of Merit to 15 collectives and 74 individuals for their excellent achievements in 25 years of LHU construction and development (September 24, 1997 - 2022).

- October 19, six training programs of LHU including Information Technology; Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology; Accounting; English Language; Business Administration and Pharmacy were awarded Certificates of Quality Accreditation in accordance with the requirement of the AUN-QA standards.

- August 13, Nguyen Huynh Duc, a student from class 20DN111, Japanese Studies major, won Third prize at the 5th JLAN-Test Cup National Japanese Speech Contest held by HCM City University of Technology and Education.

- June 9, LHU - the only university in Vietnam was listed in the top 50 universities supporting Ethical Values in the 2022 WURI Ranking

• - March 19, Truong Buu Diep, a student from 18DN112 class of Japanese Studies major won the Third prize at the 5th Japanese Speech Contest for universities in the southern region
