GEN Singapore visits LHU to strengthen global innovation and entrepreneurship collaboration

On June 12, 2026, LHU had the honor of welcoming Mr. Jayren Teo, CEO of the Global Entrepreneurship Network Singapore (GEN Singapore), for an official visit and working session at the University.

More than a meaningful step in strengthening international connections, Mr. Jayren Teo’s visit serves as an important bridge to further advance the partnership between LHU and GEN Singapore, following their collaboration established at the Vietnam–Singapore Tech Connect Forum under the witness of senior leaders from both Vietnam and Singapore. During the event, LHU and GEN Singapore officially exchanged a MoU, opening up new opportunities for global innovation and entrepreneurship.

The working visit is expected to foster a range of practical collaborative programs in the near future, including enhancing students’ entrepreneurial capabilities, developing an international mentor network, and launching regional innovation projects.

On this occasion, LHU also served as a bridge connecting GEN Singapore with the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology. Through the working session, the three parties discussed strategic directions for future cooperation. This connection with GEN Singapore is expected to create broader opportunities for LHU students and lecturers, as well as the wider Dong Nai innovation community, to access the region’s startup and innovation ecosystem. In turn, this collaboration will contribute to promoting entrepreneurship, strengthening international connectivity, and gradually positioning LHU as a regional destination for innovation-driven activities.

Dr. Nguyen Van Tan, Vice Rector of LHU stated: "A defining feature of LHU's development strategy is not merely chasing short-term technology trends, but building an educational ecosystem aligned with innovation, technology transfer, and sustainable development. As a member of the world’s largest entrepreneurship network, with a presence in more than 180 countries, GEN Singapore is expected to become an important gateway for LHU’s lecturers, students, and research teams to access incubation programs, mentorship, investment connections, and international collaborations. This partnership will also provide a foundation for LHU to realize its strategic vision of becoming an application-oriented university driven by technology, innovation, and global integration, particularly in AI, digital transformation, and technology entrepreneurship.
