Most recently, Mai Thi Anh Dao and Nguyen Vu Minh Chau, alumni of LHU’s Chinese Language program, earned Second and Third prizes, respectively, at the Anhui Provincial Round of the "Telling China's Stories in English” (用英语讲中国故事) competition in China.
Now pursuing master's degrees at Anhui University of Science and Technology, the two LHU alumni outperformed 88 international contestants from universities across Anhui Province to advance to the final round, where they impressed the judging panel with their outstanding English proficiency, critical thinking, and confident presentation skills.

Designed for international students studying in China, the competition assesses participants’ storytelling ability, language responsiveness, intercultural understanding, and international communication skills through English. To achieve their impressive results, Anh Dao and Minh Chau successfully completed three challenging rounds:
- Delivering an engaging story in English within just 2 minutes;
- Responding spontaneously to unexpected questions from the judges within 40 seconds;
- Showcasing their individual talents and personal strengths in a performance round.
Their achievements are a testament not only to years of dedicated study and perseverance but also to the confidence, adaptability, and global mindset that define LHU students.

From the learning environment at LHU to academic pursuits abroad, generations of LHU students have steadily demonstrated their capabilities on the global academic stage. This reflects the University's commitment to internationalization, which has long been a key focus of its educational strategy.

Congratulations to Mai Thi Anh Dao and Nguyen Vu Minh Chau on this outstanding achievement. With their strong foundation of knowledge, skills, and a drive for continuous learning, we are confident that these two LHU alumni will continue to achieve even greater success in their future academic and research endeavors.
