LHU sudent wins full scholarship to study in South Korea: A journey to the global stage

Good news has recently come to LHU as Duong Huynh Bao Tran, a student majoring in Korean Studies, has officially received her student visa to study in South Korea with a full scholarship sponsored by the King Sejong Institute Foundation (Korea). This milestone marks a proud achievement in the academic journey of the LHU student and opens the door for her to enter an international learning environment in the land of kimchi.

LHU student represents Vietnam on the international stage

Before securing this prestigious scholarship, Bao Tran made a strong impression at the King Sejong Institute Korean Writing Contest 2025, an international academic competition that attracts Korean language learners from many countries.

At the competition, Bao Tran won First prize, outperforming more than 120 contestants from nearly 90 countries. Her remarkable achievement demonstrates not only outstanding language proficiency but also the academic mindset and confidence of Vietnamese students when competing on international platforms. In addition to this accomplishment, Tran has earned numerous other awards in both national and international competitions.

The award for her impressive performance is a full scholarship to study in South Korea, covering 100% of the academic program, round-trip airfare, and opportunities to study, conduct research, and gain in-depth cultural experiences.

Sharing her feelings upon receiving the scholarship, Bao Tran expressed her gratitude “I feel extremely happy and grateful to receive the full scholarship to study in South Korea sponsored by the King Sejong Institute Foundation. This is an important milestone in my journey of learning Korean. I am truly thankful for the learning environment at LHU, where lecturers have always guided and encouraged students to challenge themselves through various academic competitions. I hope that my study journey in Korea will help me gain more knowledge, and one day I will return to contribute to Vietnam, especially to LHU that has supported me”.
