LHU enters VNUR-2026 top 100, ranks 52nd nationwide

The 2026 Vietnam University Rankings (VNUR) have officially been released. Accordingly, Lac Hong University (LHU) has excellently secured a place in the top 100 of VNUR-2026, marking a remarkable milestone by rising 72 positions compared to 2025 to reach 52nd place nationwide.

Among the 100 ranked higher education institutions, 46 universities improved their positions compared to the previous year. LHU is one of the institutions with the most impressive rise, clearly reflecting its sustained improvements in education quality, scientific research, and university governance in recent years.

The year 2026 marks the fourth consecutive year that VNUR has implemented its ranking activities based on a comprehensive, objective approach aligned with international standards, aiming to promote quality improvement and enhance transparency within Vietnam’s higher education system.

According to the official announcement, VNUR-2026 reviewed 237 higher education institutions in Vietnam offering undergraduate programs or higher. Of these, 193 universities provided sufficient publicly available data to be included in the ranking. VNUR does not use subjective surveys or accept data provided by institutions to ensure the independence and objectivity of the results.

The ranking is conducted based on a framework comprising six groups of standards with 18 criteria, assigned appropriate weightings to comprehensively reflect the overall performance of higher education institutions. Specifically:

• Accredited quality: 30%

• Teaching: 25%

• Scientific publications: 20%

• Science and technology missions and inventions: 10%

• Student quality: 10%

• Facilities: 5%

Being listed in the top 100 of VNUR-2026 and rising 72 places serves as clear evidence of LHU’s sustainable development strategy, as well as the unity and continuous dedication of its academic community in education, scientific research, and community service.
