[FFA] Successful Organization of the Seminar “Application of Law in Financial and Banking Activities: An Expert Perspective”

On the afternoon of December 20, 2025, at Hall A301 – Campus 1, Lac Hong University, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting successfully organized a seminar entitled “Application of Law in Financial and Banking Activities: An Expert Perspective.” The event attracted the participation of numerous lecturers, students majoring in Finance and Banking, and invited professional guests.

The seminar was organized with the aim of equipping students with essential legal foundations and enhancing their ability to apply legal regulations in practical financial and banking operations. The program focused on clarifying the legal framework governing banking activities; identifying legal risks in credit operations and capital mobilization; anti-money laundering practices; management of records and contracts; as well as the protection of customers’ legitimate rights and interests.

The seminar featured the participation of two speakers with extensive practical experience, including Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, Head of Retail Banking Division, Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank) – District 11 Branch, and Lawyer Pham Ngoc Thuong, Director of Pham Ngoc Thuong and Associates Law Firm Co., Ltd. From in-depth professional perspectives, the speakers shared a variety of real-world cases currently arising in financial and banking activities, while analyzing common legal risks and effective preventive measures in a professional working environment.

The discussion and Q&A session took place in a lively atmosphere, reflecting students’ strong interest in legal issues closely associated with banking operations. Through this exchange, students not only strengthened their specialized legal knowledge but also developed legal reasoning skills and enhanced their awareness of compliance with regulations and professional standards in their future careers.

The seminar concluded in a serious, open, and academically valuable atmosphere, further affirming the practice-oriented training approach of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Lac Hong University. The event also contributed to preparing a high-quality finance and banking workforce with solid professional competence and strong legal awareness in the context of integration.
