On October 21, 2025, at Lac Hong University, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting solemnly organized the Graduation Thesis Defense Session for Accounting students – Cohort 2022. This event marked a significant academic milestone, symbolizing the culmination of the students’ learning journey, while reaffirming the Faculty’s commitment to practice-oriented and career-applied education.

The Accounting Thesis Evaluation Council consisted of 12 official members and 9 faculty reviewers, divided into four specialized subcommittees. The council was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Huy – Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, with Dr. Nguyen Van Hai – Vice Dean serving as Vice Chairman, alongside experienced lecturers and experts in teaching, research, and business consulting.

In this round, more than 80 theses were presented and defended, covering a wide range of practical and applied topics such as cost accounting in manufacturing enterprises, management accounting, financial analysis, internal auditing, digital transformation in accounting, and financial reporting transparency.

The defense sessions took place in a serious yet open and inspiring atmosphere, combining academic rigor with emotional engagement. Students confidently presented their research, demonstrating their analytical thinking, scientific reasoning, and ability to process real-world data. The reviewers and council members raised in-depth questions regarding research methodology and model coherence, while also providing constructive feedback and improvement directions, helping students develop more comprehensive perspectives on their research issues.

The lively and thoughtful exchanges between the Council and the students brought authentic academic experiences, allowing learners to deepen their understanding of the practical value of accounting knowledge in modern business environments.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Nguyen Van Hai – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, emphasized: “Each thesis not only reflects students’ academic capabilities but also demonstrates their independence, professionalism, and research mindset. Through every presentation, we can see their growth — their ability to bridge academic theory with practical application — which is precisely the educational goal our Faculty strives for.”

The Council highly commended the initiative, creativity, and progressive spirit of the 2022 cohort. Several outstanding theses were nominated for the University-level Student Research Award and recommended as reference materials for future cohorts.

The thesis defense concluded in an atmosphere of pride, professionalism, and scholarly spirit, leaving a profound impression on all participants. It not only marked the culmination of years of diligent study and research, but also served as a launching pad for Accounting students to step confidently into their professional careers — competent, resilient, and ready for global integration.
